At Project One, we don’t just design spaces – we design to elevate the way you live. For over two decades, we’ve been transforming homes by putting lifestyle at the heart of every decision. Not bound by convention or confined by catalogues, we rethink what a kitchen can be, how a bedroom should feel, and what it really means to live well.

Introducing Dorian
Founder and director of excellence
My design journey started with a film – BIG. I remember sitting as a kid, watching Tom Hanks live out every dream in that enormous New York loft: no walls, no partitions – just endless possibilities and a BMX in the middle of the living room. It hit me hard. I realised that spaces could be joyful, freeing, and a total expression of who you are. That’s what good design should be.
To me, that means putting aside conventional thinking and digging deep into how you really want to live. Let’s throw out the rulebook. Let’s remove cabinets from kitchens and reimagine them with walk-in larders, barista zones, and dedicated cooking stations. I want to explore how we can blend tribal food prep techniques with 21st-century smart tech and see what comes out of the design pot.
I want to smile while I shower. And I want you to feel like a Lamborghini when you walk out of your bathroom. That’s not hyperbole: it’s ambition. Chasing perfection is what drives me every day. I like clean. I like clever. And I love spaces that the mind doesn’t have to navigate. For me, it’s all about the defining lines-the stops and starts between the structure and the surface materials. That’s where the magic happens. That’s how we create something truly bespoke. A space that doesn’t just look great, but feels effortless to live in.
Introducing Babette
Founder and Creative Director
I graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture in 2008, and my design journey began somewhere truly extraordinary-at the CRN Shipyard in Italy, designing interiors for mega yachts. It was an intense, detailed world where every millimetre mattered, and it shaped how I see and approach design to this day.
From there, I moved into high-end residential projects in Dubai and London, working across luxury homes in Mayfair, Kensington, and Chelsea. That experience cemented my love for designing elegant, layered interiors that don’t just look beautiful-they feel considered, personal, and quietly luxurious.
Now based in Wales, I co-lead Project One alongside Dorian. Together we guide a passionate team of architects, engineers, resident artists, digital innovators, interior designers, and construction specialists. We’re a studio that blends creativity with precision-and we’re obsessed with getting things just right (or as close to perfect as possible).
I take a lot of inspiration from the natural world-country walks with my two dogs are often where the best ideas come from. There’s a rhythm and elegance to nature that I’m always trying to echo in our work.
