“Create a kitchen lifestyle extension to enhance family interaction, with a functional flow designed for a dedicated home chef, while connecting the space to the garden for relaxed family weekends.”

THE LIFESTYLE SPACE
Architecturally, this build took a lighter, more expressive approach than our typical “conceal everything” aesthetic. The exposed steelwork intentionally contrasts the otherwise seamless finishes – adding character and energy to the space.
A bold central island anchors the room, creating a focal point for cooking, gathering, and growing family life. A large portion of the space was intentionally left open to evolve with the family over time, while the core layout focused on a high-functioning kitchen and intimate library nook.
The working elements of the kitchen – storage, appliances, and prep zones – are tucked neatly behind doors within the oven housing block, keeping the main space clutter-free. Brickwork detailing helps deliver on the client’s brief for a “luxdustrial” aesthetic – raw yet refined, robust yet elegant.
