At Ninian Road, the brief was clear: be bold, be uncompromising. The clients envisioned a refined family home that captured the atmosphere of a boutique hotel-layered, complex, yet effortlessly clean and calm.
To achieve this, Project One orchestrated a precise balance of materials and finishes. Eighteen tile styles, thirty-six paint colours, and seventy-two unique surface materials were harmonised to create a rich, cohesive aesthetic. Every transition, margin, and material shift was handled with meticulous care, ensuring a seamless yet visually dynamic interior.

Renovation
This was a full-scale renovation of a Victorian semi-detached home, complete with concealed air-conditioning and integrated music systems to elevate comfort. Levelling the house to a single consistent floor height required substantial intervention – including extensive steelwork to support the weight of the original structure.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is a centrepiece of bespoke craftsmanship. Project One’s in-house joinery team designed and built the entire space, incorporating Gaggenau appliances and adding moments of standout detail and interest – a bespoke Rymex metal-wrapped island and an extended mosaic plinth add depth, texture and visual intrigue.
Throughout the home, original period details in plasterwork and wood joinery were restored and reinterpreted with a contemporary twist, preserving the home’s period character and charm, while elevating it to suit modern family life.

We’d always wanted a home to really proud of with outstanding design and craftsmanship. From day one the Project One team ran with our intense design brief and delivered options beyond compared with other companies we tried unsuccessfully to get to understand what we wanted.
From finding us a temporary place to live while renovation was expected to the final dressing and staging we enjoyed every moment of the uncompromising way these guys work.
