My design journey started watching the movie BIG. I looked at that NY Loft with everything Tom Hank’s character needed in a huge space and it just hit me. The walls around me should go and I should be able to ride a BMX in MY space.
We still follow this childhood ethos to some degree. It’s time to put aside current thinking and get our lifestyle space solution design on.
Let’s remove cabinets from kitchens and push the boundaries right through the walls. Walk in larders. Barista sections. Cook stations. This should be different! We should look beyond the kitchen which has barely changed since the 50s and is driven by joinery sales and look into the past for inspiration.
Draw on tribal food storage, prep and cooking techniques, then smash it together with 2021 technology and lifestyle aspirations and see what comes out of the design pot.
I want to smile while I shower. Let’s test and explode the way we clean our bodies. I want to leave the bathroom feeling like a Lamborghini.

Dorian’s dream has always been to create perfection, which while unobtainable remains a daily source of drive, ambition and inspiration to him. He likes clean, he likes clever, and loves spaces that the mind doesn’t have to navigate. It’s all about defining lines, the stops and starts between the fabric of the building and surface materials. Babette
Babette graduated in 2008 with an interior architecture degree, following this, came the life changing experience of designing interiors for Mega Yachts at CRN Shipyard. Babette discovered her true love during her time working for companies that specialise in residential design in Dubai and London, working on luxury projects in Mayfair, Kensington & Chelsea. Drawing inspiration from her time spent abroad and enjoying country walks with her two beautiful dogs, Babette sees perfection in nature and this translates into her designs.
